This month I have decided to talk about a study habit that has been used by many people for a very long time. I wasn't paying attention that all along I have seen this study habit in front of my face mostly everyday. Flashcards, this is the study habit that has been proven to be extremely helpful for many things like a presentation that is about to be given. Also they can be helpful for when there is a very important test that will be given the next day like the CAHSEE or the SAT. Knowing by facts this is the easiest of all the study habits and I would say that it is for everyone. On the other hand, if there are people who can't handle doing simple flashcards than I must say there is another study habit that they will probably enjoy doing. In creating flashcards the steps are simple in doing. First of all, you should probably get some index cards or cut a piece of paper into smaller pieces. Now, if you had to prepare for a presentation than one thing you can do would be to write on the index cards what is is that you would be saying and then you say it over and over again until you have remembered your part and are ready to present in front of your classmates. Furthermore, if you were to be preparing for a test than the best thing to do would be to maybe write little bits of information that you can't remember well. They can also be helpful as to if you were having a vocabulary test and you couldn't remember the words than you write the words on one side of the index card and then you can write the definition on the other side. As you can see, flashcards can be very helpful and easy to do and that is why I have to say this is the easiest study habit ever created. Results can be expected to show right away and you would know it. For instance, if you see that creating flashcards and studying them is helping you t past tests or do great in a presentation than you know the results are in. Therefore, this is why this is the easiest and quickest way to study.

I think flash cards can sometimes be useful, but then there are times when you are so very tempted to simply cheat and look at the answers without even trying.
Plus it is a pain to make.
But they still can help you out a lot because you are sort of processing the information when your writing it down on the flash card.

Xavi,
Man Xavi you do have a point in saying that flash cards are very helpful. But as Vanessa said some people are just tempted to cheat instead of doing flash cards. I also find them a pain to do. But once you do this it can really help you in the long run. I think that flash cards are best for presentations since i tend to forget at times. But I manage never to do this because I'm just too lazy. Great Job, try to find alot more study habits too good or bad

Xavier,

You remind me of me a little. I never tought flashcards could be so helpfull. But now that i look at it they do help me alot. I think falshcards is the best way to study. I always look at my sister studying and she has a mess of flach cards is just the best strdegy.

The reason why you remind me of me is because you could talk alot about flach cards. I never tought there was so much to talk about flash cards. I think even the most simplest thing you could write a whole book. It just depend on how much time to take and think about it.

Sincerely: Hugo

Dear Xavier,
The Flash Card Study Habit is common. This study habit works on some people, in different ways. It may work when it comes to presentation(s) to some more than others. Also, with the vocabulary some would understand it more as well. I also, want to suggest another study habit is clue wording or words, it gives you a clue or hint so you could remember whatever you need to remember. For example if I want to remember a country, sometimes you put an image in your head when you think about the country. The image is the hint, the clue that helps you remember the country. Clues or hints could also be a word that helps you remember what you’re trying to remember. Sometimes people use these hints or clues as when they read or think about that specific thing there trying to remember, the first thing that pops in their head(s) is there clue or hint, and they remember. Example: Popusas- El Salvador, Tamales- Mexico, etc. It works for some people.
Sincerely,
Masyeli M.
